Why would I ever want to read this?

…is what you’re probably asking yourself right now. I have some easy answers for you and I’ll even give them to you for free! Who loves ya? That’s right. This guy. Remember that at my sentencing hearing.

Here’s the thing.

Cinema Suicide on Substack is a revival of the old horror movie institution of the same name. I offer thought, criticism, and editorial on high-concept/low-brow cinema with a laid back, easy-going voice for everyone. If you’re into horror, science fiction, martial arts, giallo, krimi, or any niche genre that ends with ‘sploitation, you’re going to love Cinema Suicide. I also get downright enthusiastic about comic books, music, and fiction, from time to time. I’m too old for Tik-Tok and Youtube is an obnoxious cult of spectacle. But I can write. I am occasionally seized by a thought that I can’t shake and I use this space to hash it out. I’m told that people enjoy reading about it and I hope that you do, too.

I’ll make it easy on ya, too. Go ahead and subscribe down below and keep an eye on your inbox for regular updates.

Cinema Suicide’s logo, The Cinema Suicide Film Society was provided by long-time friend of the site and one of the best artists out there, Tom Whalen, whose work you’ve probably seen selling out in a matter of minutes at Mondo. He also has a website of his own and you are strongly encouraged to visit it and patronize his services.

The Cinema Suicide theme song is by MARK13.
